So I decided not to do this next thing myself. More so because I don’t feel like investing the time after having spent the last the 3 wks combing out my locs. Not at the suggestion of my daughter and sister. Plus, there are a few things I leave to the professionals–at least another had other than mine. Chemicals and scissors are amongst the few.
Tomorrow I’m going to see my pre- natural hair beautician to clip my ends. I figured I stand just as good of a chance at it being done correctly with a non-natural beautician as I do a natural beautician. Besides I trusted this same beautician to color my locs three years ago and I’m just as confident that she can clip my ends. Doesn’t really matter to me whether she clips them wet or dry; it just has to be done before I can comfortably go any further with this new journey I’m embarking on.
Here are the results.
In the second pic I look to be disappointed but I wasn’t. Although I know the beautician probably clipped more than she should have, I prefer a professional to do things involving scissors and chemicals.
It’s hair. It’ll grow back. And the more I take care of it–doing less to it–the more it’ll grow.
More to come. Check back often for updates.
