A little more than six months without locs, I’m glad to report that this–natural hair meltdowns– has been happening less and less. Meaning…I’m developing a hair routine that I can live with and that’s manageable for my life. Still sometimes bad hair days happen. They’re a fact of life.
How to recover without doing something drastic?
1. Take a pregnant pause. Remember that before natural hair there were bad hair days.
2. Go to your best source for inspiration. Of course You Tube. But you can also browse the thousand of images of natural hair pics through a Google or Yahoo search.
3. Spend some quality time with your hair. It’s usually when your hair is in need of something (wash, moisturizing, fresh new style) that it tends to look its worst.
How do you overcome your natural hair meltdowns?
