Last Wellness Wednesday of 2K15

I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to the coming year! Although it’s the same 24 from the 31st of December to the 1st of January, it’s still an exciting time.

Like most people I’m planning on doing some things differently in this new year. However, I’m not waiting for the 1st day of the year to get started.

In an effort to keep my head clear at home I need a major reduction in clutter. It’s mainly an accumulation of mailings, and a  things that need to be put in their proper place. I won’t make a declaration that everyone will put things where they belong but I am designating a place for everything to go until that happens. During my Christmas shopping I bought a couple of bins for the living room and my bedroom–the largest accumulators of stuff. Prayerfully these will make a difference. Maybe I can relax more at home when I don’t see stuff all around me!

Also during my holiday shopping, I finally broke down and bought another fitness tracker. But I refused to spend $100 for one. I chose the Fitbit Zip, on sale at Meijer for $59.

I’ve been wearing the last few days and it’s already helping me with accountability. Oh how I missed tracking my steps!

Lastly, in January I’m participating in Weight Watchers with my sorority. This will be my 3rd time doing it and according to my health insurance provider, HAP, the last time I can join for $50. Without HAP, the cost would be $161! And I would NOT be paying that so I better get together, huh?

I plan to put my husband on the plan, unofficially, with me. He’s trying to lose some serious weight to get qualified for a lung transplant. I want to help him in any way that I can.

Again, not waiting until the 1st. Since his doctors appointment the week before Christmas, he’s been watching his sodium intake. As we’re in this thing together, I’m watching mine too.

Wish me luck in my efforts towards a cleaner, happier, and healthier 2016! I’m wishing (praying, actually) the same for you!

Naturally Yours,

L.A.
